A Newton native, Mr. Weir was born Monday, January 27, 1947 and was a graduate of Newton High School. He enlisted in the United States Navy, and served during the Vietnam War. After returning home from his military service, he began his work career, at ESCO Corp., at Newton for fourteen years before moving to Florida to work for Walt Disney World for twenty five years.
